Just a few days ago I had Horry County departments working fine. Then nothing. I thought perhaps my programming became corrupted but both of my BDC996XT's (mobile and base) are not picking up anything. I've re-downloaded the frequencies from here and reloaded them into the scanners and no change. I'm assuming there might have been a change to the CC but nothing I've tried has worked to remedy it. Anybody with suggestions? Thanks.

Are you trying Palmetto system or local system for Horry? Not sure if they have gone Phase 2 yet. Source tells me it may be some time before a change

Just confirmed with my reliable source in MB, system is still up and running in phase 1. So may be a simulcast issue since some scanners don't like simulcast broadcasts.

I'm using the Horry County settings. Yes, it is a simulcast broadcast but I didn't have any issues before on either scanner. I didn't alter any programming and the broadcasts just stopped being received a couple days ago. I appreciate your reply. Thanks.

Incredible but true, the Horry County simulcast channels came back to life this morning. I did nothing to the programming. All I did was power it up here in the house. If the programming was somehow corrupt, I can't understand how the mobile scanner, another 996XT using the same programming uploaded, also became corrupted. Well, at least it works.

Is it possible that the active control channel for the Horry County system changed to a frequency you don't have programmed as part of that system? It's certainly possible that the alternate control channels listed in the RR database aren't complete or accurate. Perhaps the control channel changed back, resulting in your radio coming back to life?

Yes, sir, I was thinking the same thing. Thank you.
