I am not 100%. Most dept radio just have their dept and they countywide channel either vhf or uhf. They normally do not have other depts frequency in their dept radio.

Since W Seneca operates on 424 it is possibly one of these:

Interop

Possibly could be communicating with Cheektowaga PD on the scene with that same frequency. CPD is UHF analog, WSPD is on Saianet DMR con+

Here is what happened as far as I know, A body was found in Scajaquada creek near the town park in Cheektowaga, a separate call an Clinton St in West Seneca involved both agencies and the need for the county frequency. In the end I never heard any communication on the county PD/interop frequencies mentioned in this thread thus far.

It’s a DOA. Not really a lot of radio chatter. Any inquiries probably were via cellphone.

Folks, Just reading these posts this morning (day after). I did here all the communication, except the initial call. The freq used was the Intercounty UHF....460.275. There's a repeater there. It worked fairly well, everyone could talk to everyone involved (including the dispatchers). The audio levels were all over the place, and a small amount of distortion. I would think this is because these interop type freqs don't get used very often around here. and haven't been tested/aligned by a technician. All-in-all it worked.

The frequency is label in all radios in the county as Countywide Police or CPS from the old days. 460.275 is tied to 155.580 and is analog simulcast at 12~ish sites throughout the county

BTFire21, That would be correct. I heard some of the chatter referring to the supervisors telling the other patrol guys to push a particular button on the radio for the county wide. But, I didn't hear any simulcasting. Although, as soon as I heard talk on UHF, I locked on that channel for the remainder of the incident.

Do you know if the SP cars have these freqs??

Cheektowaga and West Seneca were looking for a suspect that ran from a stolen car into some thick woods.
