Could someone tell me what the 5 beeps my radio shack pro2055 is picking up after each transmission and how to get rid of it?I will hear a dispatch call from somerset central followed by 5 beeps,then the response from the fire or ambulance,also followed by 5 beeps.

It sounds to me like you don't have your scanner configured properly for EDACS trunked operation. Check your programming setup and make sure that you have the channels in proper LCN channel order starting with 1.

Thanks for the reply
I used the win 97 software & I have double checked the frequencies LCN order,for Somerset County.I start with channel 01.I have EDACS selected where it says rxmode.Is there somewhere else I need to select EDACS?
Is there something else I need to change?
I upload the info from this website but I just must be missing something?
