I had a 396T a while back and and would always keep the batteries constantly charged , every once and a while might even forget it was plugged in ac wise and left it charging - no big deal. WELL , I just recently got a 330T and here's what happened the 1st time I "forgot" it was plugged in , last night as a matter of fact......I cut the scanner on and was laying down with it in my hand during some silence in the county I fall asleep....scanner got moved of course from me moving around or whatever , I wake up about 3:00 am this morning , scanner's still on and the batteries were REAL REAL hot , I mean REAL HOT.....literally burnt my hand when I touched it , I actually put the scanner in front of a fan to cool it off. So my point is am I missing something about the charging on a 330T? NEVER had a scanner do that , I was amazed something wasn't melted , that's how hot it was.
