Ok this has been boggling my mind now for awhile. St. Tammany Parish Fire Protection aka "Fire Alarm" when dispatching you will hear them say "Command is on xxx" such as just now I heard them dispatch saying "Command is on 105", does anyone know what this means?

I was thinking it was a frequency but they've stated as far up as in the 200's. Just thought maybe someone would know and could put my mind to rest

I was hoping someone from your area would answer.

In my area they usually say "Engine Company nn has Command" - could it be a Unit identifier?

Maybe you should just call and ask. :D

It's possible but I heard them dispatch the command is on 105 for 2 calls and then usually when a unit arrives on scene they'll take command such as "xxx has command". Maybe it's the dispatcher number?

Oh well guess I'll figure it out eventually! :D

from whats i am hearing and what your asking i may have an answer

i am thinking your listening to district 1 (slidell) and that 105 is the fire prevention officer, i know he parks at station 16 (oak harbore station) and when they get called he or battalion 2 run alot
"when a unit arrives on scene they'll take command such as "xxx has command"

105 is normally first on arrival and the respetive battalion chief takes over is that man has a higher rank then "105"
