Does Stafford have a patch talkgroup for statewide EMS? Trying to monitor a medevac today and only heard the chopper on the Spotsylvania county TG.

I don't think I have ever heard it. I have ID search going on my ProScan.
I was surprised this morning that I was hearing Spotsy and AirCare talking during that bad accident.

Most agencies just patch SWEMS straight into the channel that the incident ops are on. Not sure how Stafford does it, though.
When agencies make a patch usually the trunk system makes a patch TG dynamically on the back end. At least that is how the harris systems work.
I do believe (and it's been a while since I was in an Air Care helicopter), they have a radio that is programed to the DC/Metro COG radio system (like fire apparatus in the DC/Metro COG) they can switch to whichever area they are in and then to the assigned incident channel for that county. Example: Air Care would switch to 4 Foxtrot for an incident they are on in Fairfax (4) on incident channel Foxtrot. As I said, I know at one time they had that radio, not sure about now.
Yeah, a unit asked for a patch. Not all helos have the same radio programing. I believe the help was pegasus from uva.
Ohhh, yes, UVA Pegasus is patched in. I thought you mentioned Air Care, but it was the person below you, sorry for the confusion 😊
