Having some time the other night while in Stamford i was doing Pro96 and Unitrunker on the CLMRN G system and got the following TG's 23515, 23507, 23516 & 23513 With Ids of 1351914, 1351915 & 1351929
Both the Ids and TG's show them to be Stamford, I know Stamford is doing the same as New Britain and moving to the state core so maybe it is in progress?

Good catch, I would think that PD is encrypted now and they will stay that way, just go from ADP to AE$
The PD must have gotten all new radios, 5 weeks ago they were still rocking the XTS2500s..
FD Got new Harris radios last year

last 2 days this has ramped up again, TG still 23XXX but the unit IDs have been 10249, 10426, 10326, 10108, 10427, 10112, 10004 and 10067...
Not the norm for IDs on the system (Stamford Or CLMRN) I was in Stamford last night/this morning and asked one of the cops i know and he said they were were told they would be moving to a new system then back to the old system just upgraded.
My guess is that those IDs are just for the temp? Not sure

Listening now and 23507 is fire dispatch and 23508 might be FG1, I'm getting mostly 135XXXX Ids but did get a few 10XXX ids
just got Encryption on 23522

23507 is definitely Fire/EMS Dispatch.

From what I can tell from a few calls I monitored, I am kinda guessing but pretty sure of the following:
23508 - Fireground 1
23510 - Fireground 3
23513 - Fire Tac 1
23522 - EMS Tac or Ops channel
23538 - Probably PD Primary, always encrypted (also popping up on Troop I simulcast at times)
23576 - Probably Citywide (pretty sure I hear them testing on this a long time ago and said "citywide" during the test)

Comparing these with the TG plan on the current Stamford system, I am assuming the following:
23509 - Fireground 2
23511 - Fireground 4
23514 - Fire Tac 2
23515 - Fire Tac 3
23516 - Fire Tac 4

Lots of talkgroups that I’ve picked up lately that aren’t named yet. Think I’m going to start listening to my dsd recordings and see if I can start naming them. Glad I don’t have to do Stamford lol

From listening to last nights recordings I got
23507-Fire Dispatch
23508-Ground 1
23509-Ground 2
23510-Ground 3
23511-Ground 4
23522-SEMS (Stamford EMS Channel)

Yesterday the Dispatcher was ID 1359001 & 1359003 now today all dispatches are ID 1359207
Engine 7 Is ID 1351027 but Medic 1 is ID 10120
23538 got 16 hits in 24 hours all encrypted with no ids, makes me think its a patch from their current system and units are not on CLMRN like fire is but who knows yet.

23568 - sounds like Sanitation, talking about recycling and garbage pick up

I'm wondering if the 10xxx radios are loaners during the transition.

Remember when you confirm the TGs, please submit them so they can be added to the DB.

That sounds like a good thought, I would agree since this system is moving to the CLMRN.
Now we just have to see if it becomes a campus system like New Brittan.
Submitting TG info now would be a waste as they could change when the system is finalized
It will be fun to watch for a while

Thanks for the updates, time to get my scanner updated.
Would anyone be able to put up a Broadcastify Calls node for Troop G?

The TGs that are showing up are the correct ones. Other than some "to be identified" talk-groups in the public works range, what you're seeing now is what it will be.

Has anyone submitted the Fire Department groups yet? If not, I will. Don't want to do it if it has already been done and just not updated yet.

As far as the Radio ID's go, here's a few ranges I have observed (mostly based on hits in UniTrunker)

1351004 - 1351411 = Stamford Fire, maybe EMS also
1352001 - 1352304 = Stamford Police
1353xxx = Seems to be mostly PW and other but have seen them pop up on PD & FD TG's
1354001 - 1354298 = Stamford Fire, maybe EMS
1355002 - 1355810 = Stamford Police
1359xxx = Dispatch consoles

I have noticed with testing going on with Stamford as well as Trumbull, it sounded like radios with an ID like 135x9xx were being used by radio service.

If you read the posts this is temporary on CLMRN, They will be going back to their 10 channel system just on the CLMRN core like New Britain and things can change, they will be using their current channels so changing your G5 will be temporary.
So this will eventually be a "site" on the CLMRN but all the TG might not be the same or they could be using some now that they wont use later.
But it would be cool if they folded their 10 channels into the G system and stayed there, it would be nice to hear them everywhere the G system covered

Right now I am only hearing the main TGs on the CLMRN side like Police and Fire dispatch. I don’t recall hearing others, but I haven’t looked at my logs.

On the Stamford system, they are using the new TG numbers, so I’d be surprised if they go through all the trouble of reprogramming all the radios again with new TG numbers.

Especially since these new numbers seem to be in line with what the other towns are using on CLMRN. Although, I suppose with the ability to program OTA it isn’t too terrible to make changes.

If they are on the CLMRN core, then they are on the CLMRN system, as a stand-alone site on the system. For the purposes here at RR, they are merged onto the CLMRN system. That change has already happened. The old system has been marked deprecated already.

As far as I know, the TGs programmed into the radios are the set TGs, there is no more changes coming to them. I have a very valid source on these changes, but can't get into more detail on that. However you are 100% correct that several TGs programmed may not be used again, which is common on these systems. It was in Mass, and on other systems I have known. But changes to them are unlikely at this time.
