I've noticed over the last couple days alot less traffic on modesto 155.940. Are they changing their freq lineup or have gone somewhere else..

Thanks

They are also on another freq.

They have started using 154.430 which is also the Fire Command Frequency for El Dorado County. Stan Co has placed their new repeater near San Andreas and it booms into El Dorado County sometimes taking out the units in the weaker areas. Something is supposed to be done about, I hope soon.

I've monitored 154.430 for years and know "Camino Fire" is there with a PL of 186.2. A few days ago I started receiving a lot of traffic on that frequency with a PL of 123.0 and I wondered who it was. Can someone confirm that is the PL of Modesto Fire?

Thanks.

Wow, that's incredibly poor system engineering.

Hey Trooperdude, thanks for the listing! WHEN does this go into effect? Or is it NOW in use? Wow.

Can someone please confirm that "OFD" means Oakdale Fire Department and "TFD" means Turlock Fire Department in this listing? Thank you.

The Stanislaus County frequencies are repeated off of Mt. Oso. There is no repeater up by Camino, etc. 153.770 is not repeated, thus you only hear one side. That is dispatch, then CMD 2 is the one that is also AEU local. Stan County has 123.0 PL turned on. Cal Fire has no PL turned on in AEU, thus the bleedover up there. Down in Stan County, you can pick up AEU local very clearly as well on Stan County radios...if you turn PL off.

That is correct on OFD and TFD meaning Oakdale City and Turlock City. These are old frequencies that the departments have agreed to sign as part of the system.

Does anyone have a online scanner of the stanislaus county area. (Sheriff, Modesto police and fire?) If not does anyone plan to make a online feed? I used to live there and I miss it very much.

Or it would be cool if someone can record incidents and put them on youtube. Contact me if you have questions on how to use youtube to upload recordings.

Thanks -Louie-

New Stanislaus Co Fire Freq?

I have been hearing some fire traffic on 154.400 with a PL of 123.0 from Tuolumne County. Not enough for a positive ID, but they did mention "Queen Elizabeth Court" at one point. I know there is still some unidentified Command and Tac channels for Stan Co Fire, does anybody know if this is one of them? Next time I am up there I will listen for more clues (can't find any listings for this for the county in RR or FCC database, but the PL seems to indicate Stan Co)

I am not sure about the PL, but there is such a place in the Merced/Atwater area that's in the county. Oh interesting that our county's (Merced Co) Fire Dept. uses 154.400. This is a repeater system that has the choice of 2 repeaters depending upon where you are at.
