It appears more and more that PL 67.0 is intended to be used by ISP VHF bases to facilitate simulcasting onto StarCom21.

During a trip thru the Peoria area today I heard 67.0 being used on HF2 by District 1 (154.680) and District 8 (155.520). I also heard it used on ISPERN by several districts in central and western IL.

I have not heard this PL being used in northeastern IL (yet), including District Chicago and District 2.

While out and about I heard ISPERN patches on 13032 and 13033 (District 6 and 8) with base station only traffic.

I also heard car to car traffic on 13105 from the Ohio tower (133).

ISP District 15 was simulcasting 855.9625 from it's Lisle tower on TG 9099.

I've heard this talkgroup (13105) a few times, on sites 101 (DuPage Co.), 126 (Kane Co.) and 113 (Will Co.). It sounded like some car to car and some car to aircraft, users ID'd as Lincoln units.

Also How'd you copy TG 9099? I can barely make out the audio.

The voice quality on the patches leave something to be desired. Usually direct voice sounds fine, but patches just don't.Maybe they will as the system matures.

The patch that Bloomington PD uses sounds horrible as well. Ok, well, BPD's system just sounds awful anyway. But, patched through to Starcom, it is pretty bad. Sometimes less than others, though.

Hearing the Toll Ways now on 9099 and 9098 instead of the 20XX series???...

have to agree, bpd patch is ****ty. why is that? i just scan bpd conventionally and block out the patch on my starcom bank deal.
