im new hear, and this looks like a fine place to start learning. i have inherited a icom R8500. found lots to listen to, but i would like to know the freqs for the stars choppers?

Hello there,

STARS choppers use these freqs to communicate with the Link Center:

Additionally, they frequently use 158.7600 FM the provincial EMS channel to talk with other agencies, and also 155.6700 Tac 9 to communicate with RCMP. (Incase you needed to know where to find the freqs you want, all these and more freqs are found by clicking on the RR database link on the main page under "Radio features", then selecting Canada, hitting go, and then clicking on Alberta)
