Even the sites that do have a "repeater" - are not used as a "repeater" (as such) because car to car traffic is not permitted except in certain emergency situations. Please verify that this is still the WSP policy. Thanks.

The car calling a tower name on the radio is an old school holdover from the lowband days when there was a split mobile/base channel plan and that information mattered. These days, it is normally not required and a good dispatcher doesn't need that information anyway...they will know when a car is at _____ then they need to use ______ tower.
