Any news from any of the software providers on when they will have something ready?

Any vendors out there try to work out a bulk purchase deal? :) Bundle your scanners with a half-price version of the software... seems a software seller could easily sell more than twice the units in a bundle like that, making more money in the long run.

Hey guys, I went to the horse's mouth. Sent Don Starr an email asking about software. He said that after the first of the year he plans on "extending" Win97 to handle the PSR-300, considering they are quite similar. So, if his plan to do this works out correctly, then he will provide a free update to Win97 that will work for the PSR-300. So in that case if you already have Win97 licensed, you don't have to purchase anything additional for the PSR-300.

I have one arriving tomorrow from Lentini, and since I have Win97, I am hopeful this will work out. Keep your fingers crossed.

Thats cool of Don to do it like that other then forcing people to buy more software like some other software developers do.

Darn.. I was hoping to have software for it closer to Christmas as it's when I'll be getting mine.. I can't stand programming manually, especially trunked systems.. Maybe Butel will have theirs out before then..

Howdy neighbor!

Thanks for the update. I don't have a Pro-97, but that is a very consumer friendly policy. Are there any Win97 export files available for this area?

I agree! Don is topnotch. I myself, like many, have bought from other developers who would never think of updating existing programs to work with models that are very similar in design. I'm sure it takes a little effort to do so, but then they wouldn't make as much money either.
