Both RC-26s up doing spooky stuff again

377.825 - VOODOO / VULTURE / MIKE12 / BAYONET

KEYS10 joins everyone else on 377.825
VULTURE is E-8C JSTARS

oooooo.....Got one of the new P-8s directly overhead right now too. TALON27 AE4EB3
TALON27 live flight tracking - Plane Finder
direct from my radar box :D

New (to me) C-130J call, ARROW82 AE0254 98-1356. (does Oliver Queen have a C-130? :p )

388.5 AM - KEYS10 and VULTURE switched to this freq momentarily then back to 377.825
388.5 AM - still seeing sporadic use. NASTY MAN just blew my hair back hailing KEYS in the blind. (actually seeing a good bit of use now)
Ok now SPOKY44 is on 388.5 too. Having maintenance issues, going to put it on the ground and check it out, and will be back for dry fire exercise if all is ok.

The last 90 minutes or so of radar box hits
EDIT: Had too look back a little further but I'll guess this is the JSTARS before it went dark

I do pick up some of the same ones as you do,especially when they are headed down south to Gulfport or Nas Pensacola,i have been trying to catch a lot of the new ones down south and put in some more A/A frequencies. If all you guys can put them in the DB,i do have a lot of stuff for Columbus Afb as their MOAS and flight training areas are mostly in my area.I am just west of Huntsville,AL.

Nice to hear some feedback :)
Would love to see what you have for Columbus AFB. It's on my too do list to make a wiki article for.

Most of long time "fixed" freqs are in the DB. The more recent, short term finds/usage stuff I'm putting in each base's wiki article. So far it's mostly just Navy NOLA, Shelby, and Key Field. I also keep a bit of a "scratch pad" here which also has links to the others.

HA! KEYS10 just flew directly over my house and fired off all my radio's Close Call on 377.825 :D

Just wish it was daylight, so I could have shot some pics.

I don't know how applicable this is - it certainly is in the DC metro area - but you might consider adding a link to the Memphis ARTCC which covers most of your state. Their are numerous milair freqs there. How active they are is something for your listeners - in the DC metro, they're very active, many times echoing to the associated civilian pair

The data there is more than a bit dated - which is why I hesitated adding it. Perhaps someone could jostle the ARTCC folks to update the db with corrected info (hint hint)

141.575 - No idea (yet) who this is but they just made me LMAO
EDIT: digging through some recordings I pulled out references to Chicken Ranch, Point Clear, and Jack Edwards, so it seems to be someone familiar with, and probably based in, the Florida panhandle. (which doesn't really narrow it down much. LOL)
Pilot A: I don't think I passed out, but I did see a unicorn
Pilot B: Shoulda rode him
Pilot C? (or A?): Like a pony

314.4 - Fair amount of seemingly A/A traffic here too this morning.

While all true, throwing someone into one of those ARTCC DB entries is akin to throwing someone who can't swim into the middle of the ocean too. Memphis Center isn't really in my wheelhouse either, so I can't personally provide much help to others for it. Hell I don't even have that good of grasp on the Houston Center stuff. :p

I do whole heartedly encourage and invite others to jump in and share what they know though. :)

Only Hornets I've knowingly heard today are of the blue and gold variety. I've been pretty much locked onto just them and the NOLA guys here lately so I likely would have missed them even if they were coming south. Did hear BA7 call "how do you read me" on 251.6 around 11:12 then again at 11:18 with no response heard by me either time though. First time in like, forever, I've heard them use that one.

As I was typing this is just heard a flight of two NICKELs on 285.475 BFM Low, inbound for PNS. Which could be F-18s (or 16s, or 22s, or none of the above, LOL)
