I agree. It is odd. That whole 5 Mhz segment is not all ham. I believe that 220-222 is allocated outside of amateur use. FedX as well as others have digital data transfers below the hams. Still, 223.000 ?
Interesting as most Ham 1.25Meter repeaters around here are upper 223-upper 224 MHZ though ARRL lists 222-225 as Ham phone
and data exclusive use.. I have a 220MHZ Ham radio.. Will have to check that out :)

Guys,

If I remember correctly awhile ago (over the last year or so) I heard some Northrop Grumman acft operating over the Eastern Shore & Delaware (Georgetown). The acft were working with a callsign Speilberg who was definitely on the ground and appeared to be moving to different locations so the acft could track him.

I'd be willing to bet my house that that activity was related to the development of the Vader pod.

Story on the Vader Pod

thanks Ron, nice find and very interesting !

Strong com here on tape so assume Northeast Bound. No tankers seen up so can't go too far.

Mark,

I have callsign being used by:

HOG A-10C 23rd FG Moody AFB GA

Maybe group of them heading across the pond. Could've slipped into Martin State (I didn't hear anything yesterday) then departed from there.

Just heard someone on Pax freq 249.65 that I have entered as Osprey Ops. Said they were looking to get in but rain is in the way. I think it's the GLARE12 and 62 flight.

1137- Nope, OSPREY-01 says they're going to the Tappahannock area to kill some time.

Travis,

A little strange to see 3 US Army special purpose acft all operating ion our area at the same time--and on a Sunday to boot.

1150 EST-- ADS-B showing E-6B TACAMO (164387) at FL260 heading north over the Shenandoah Mns in VA

I'm now trying to figure out how C-32B 99-6143 left FL earlier this morning and went up to Michigan, halfway the callsign showed up as RCH586 I think it was. No return trip. Now it's showing up again coming out of FL, over SE KY. ???

Rgr Ron guess Moody took the Arkansas A-10's in 2014 when the 184thFS/188th FW switched to MQ-9's.
They had that cool Razorback Hog Jowl nose art and used HOG callsign.
Maybe stopping up at Pease or Bangor on way over next week.
