Mark,

Don't think so. They were talking to ZDC at Salisbury at about the same time they were chatting with Langley CP. So they were north of Langley heading into Langley. I can't be sure but he could have said " Eagles coming in from the UK." I was surprised to hear them on that freq and wrote it down from memory & coudl've missed something. I don't record anything so I have to rely on memory and hand notes.

In the late 0800 hour and early 0900 hour EFDT hearing what sounds like "white noise" /encryption on 267.35. Quite strong today. Have been hearing it off and on for about the last week.

I noticed it when WATERBUG 519 went up in North Pax Warning area.
Almost sounds like a P-3C background noise.

1025: Fighter activity on 138.625....at 1028, same guys are setting up their tanker schedule. Thought I heard callsign CAPITOL in there. Confirmed...callsign is CAPITOL 91 making them DC-ANG F-16s.
1025: Sounds like Navy fighters working 365.7
1032: CAPITOL 91 to Giant Killer on 255.0 notifying heading for tanker.
1032: CAPITOL 91 up on AR freq 266.5
1038: WILD flight on AR freq 266.5
1039: JAWS flight also on AR freq 266.5 with PACK 22.
1041: PACK 22 sends JAWS flight to boom freq 235.1 and they make contact there.
PACK 22 = KC-135R, 62-3576, 133rd ARS NH-ANG Pease. Departed Pease around 0900 to head down to W-107 for the mission.
1044: CAPITOL 91 informs Giant Killer his flight will be landing at Atlantic City...255.0

Euro board reporting a TREND 11 flight of 6 F-15's arriving Lakenheath over there.
Tankers so far are CACTI 61 #79-0433 which I heard last night out of McGuire.
CACTI 71 #79-1713 KC-10 McGuire.
Waiting on second cell now possibly a TREND 21.
Ron that TREND 25 flight probably diverted from the Northern route of TREND flight group going to Europe.
Thats why you had them going North to South.. just a theory so far.. :)
Maybe maint issues or airspares or going to work with Langley F-15's for a while?

1140/1540z TREND 21 flight of 4 F-15's heard coming into Europe.

Tin,

365.7 is one of the discretes used by the Pax guys when they work in the Atlantic Test Track Range

The first time I ever heard that freq, it was for an AR operation. Since then, I often hear AR and fighters in ACM activity. It took me a good while to establish it was Patuxent fighters and tankers.

Some IDs to go with your log today:
MARINE 206 was 161206, UC-12B
7N523 was 161309, another UC-12B
JOSA 813 was 84-0119 from Scott
ROCCO 84 was 61-0318
JOSA 531 was 84-0075

CACTI 71 #79-1713 KC-10 McGuire.

Mark, those two KC-10s from McGuire (CACTI 61 and 71) sure took off early from McGuire to meet up with the TREND flight. 61 was wheels up at 0400 and 71 at 0430. However, they diddled around this area for 45 minutes to an hour before heading out toward ACK. I suspect the TREND flight was late arriving.

I didn't have time today to compile my daily log and that's unfortunate since it was an extremely busy day. Looking at the log, it's about 50-75% larger than normal. If I started compiling now, I'd have it ready by morning. Uh-uh. :)

As I'm typing, I see a REACH 0487, an MD-11, registration N272WA being flown by World Airways heading northeast - probably toward Europe. Just a bit earlier I had REACH 824, a DC-10, N531AX being flown by Omni International - probably heading in the same direction. Guess all the C-17s/C-5s are in use. Actually, there are many REACH flights each day flown by the commercial guys.

2122: Been following an E-6B (164410, VQ-4) for the past several minutes coming down the coast along the Jersey shore heading to Patuxent. It's currently around Cape May turning across Delaware Bay toward (temporary) home.
2131: The E-6 is now with Patuxent Approach 120.05 using callsign IDOL (or IDLE) 28 Heavy requesting runway 14.

Oh...and that GHOST 87 is just returning from Nellis which is probably why he's working with that callsign. He went out that way and was logged in Phoenix on the 18th as CAFE 91 on a Coronet mission arriving from Europe and was noted using GHOST 87 as of the 20th at Nellis.

Again this evening I'm hearing unidentifed aircraft (sounds like helicopters) practicing interceptions on Marine Ch 21A. Is anyone hearing anything associated with this on UHF?
I'm not.
