Guys,

According to one of the Florida guys on Milcom he thinks some of the 104th FS A-10s were down at the Avon Park Range this week. He thinks they left that area around 1400 EST and might be headed back home

Well, we know they were down there. I logged three flights of them last weekend (somewhere above) heading to Florida - RAVEN, SPORT, COLT flights. On the way down, they were using 142.3, 41.95 and 140.025 repectively for interflight freqs. I don't think I can monitor them when due in this area if they left at 1400 so hope someone gets them.

1502: U/I flight using interflight freq...138.3 (Might be NJ-ANG F-16s...activity also on 138.875...OR...PA-ANG A-10s also operating on 143.75)

This was the lightest day in memory for military aircraft...

I have Magic Johnson's Gulfstream 3 overhead at FL 370 (N32MJ) at 2018...does that count for anything?

Saudi royals shot in arm for home of Mayo Clinic

ROCHESTER, Minn. (AP) -- Rochester officials say members of Saudi Arabia's royal family spent enough during a visit to the Mayo Clinic to give the area's economy a shot in the arm.
City officials say Saudi Arabian King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz arrived in the Minnesota city on Nov. 15 for a checkup at the Mayo Clinic and was accompanied by at least five princes and hundreds of others.

The king left Wednesday, but some members of his group remain in Rochester.
Rochester Convention and Visitors Bureau executive director Brad Jones says a conservative estimate of the royal family's spending is up to $1.5 million.
Officials say that should offset the area's economic woes. Jones calls that a "great shot in the arm."

Re: 120.250

Hop,

It's been on simulcast with 128.425 since 11.11.2008, but have they now switched over to exclusive use on 1C/19R? I did not hear any changes to this usage yesterday but did not have a chance to do any monitoring today.

Thanks,

Tony

Dulles is now using the new 1/19C freq 120.25.

2003-The orderwire is still pegging my scanners.

I'm 100+ miles NE of Andrews and had Orderwire 25 minutes before AF-1
landed coming from the South.
Say minimum speed of 250 knots for AF-1 into Andrews and that is kind estimate
means I heard Orderwire at 250-300 miles out.
Must be 100 watt+ WBFM transmitter easy.
Talk about jamming garage door openers! :)
