This is a copy of two posts....no one has given any incite in the other area of the forum, so maybe it will be seen here.....
I cant get monitor.exe to get the tags from the BCT15 for my audio stream. I run the -v command and I just get two ERR, I have a feeling, the codes in the init file need to be changed. Anyone have any ideas or know the codes? Everything runs fine except getting the tags, it just says initializing then the rotating / when i run it without -v in the command line. Thanks everyone.
Alright, so the 246t version works with the BCT15, when running monitor -v on both of them the same data is received. Now for a copy of a post I left on scancapecod:
Alright, it seems the more I post the more I just figure out. I have it picking up regular frequencies just fine. The 246 version doesnt use the F, and doesnt appear to use the ID S portion either. The channel I am testing is EMS Incident 2, programmed in the scanner as this, 1-04-103 EMS Incident 2 and it scans it just fine. I still cant get it to pick up the trunked talkgroups with an alpha tag, but I have a new problem. As it scans, the program pulls the alpha tags at random, for example, I have 2 in there, East Granby EMS and Bradley Fire Department, so, even when the dont talk, it sends an alpha tag as it scans it anyway...what am I missing? here is my titles file:
104103,EWEMS Inc 2
04530750,East Granby EMS
04535000,BDL Fire
scanning,Scanning...
I do have a space at the end. Again, to reiterate, it wont pick up the trunked talkgroup ems inc 2 at all, even if I make it ID S 104103. It will send alpha tags for East Granby and BDL Fire whenever the scanner scans over that frequency, whether it is being talked on or not.
