Has anyone listened to the RR streams on a Droid Incredible phone? Can you tell me how it sounds, and if you had any problems setting it up?

I use the app "Scanner Radio". There are a few apps in the Market--just search Police Scanner or something like that & you should find some.

Scanner Radio does a good job & matches up w/ the streaming scanner feeds from here @ Radio Reference. You can even do a search on the app for "scanners near you". Good sound.

I have an original Motorola Droid. Scanner Radio works well, but does not show alpha tags. Xiia Live doesn't have the slick interface to RR feed listings that Scanner Radio has, but it does show alpha tags.

Hey, Thanks for the idea to use Xiia Live. My nearby scanner feed that I listen to on Radio Reference via computer and on my Droid Incredible via Scanner Radio wasn't showing up in the Xiia Live list. So, I went to RR on my phone's browser, searched for my favorite feed, chose to listen to it via Itunes so I could get the mp3 feed, then my Incredible gave me the option to listen to that stream w/ Xiia Live. I made that stream a favorite. Bam, I now have alpha tags so I can tell what agency is streaming.

Ain't technology cool!!

I have a Droid X and have been using Scanner Radio. Thanks for the Xiia Live info and the suggestion on ways of getting the Droid to offer you the the choice of Xiia for playback. As I messed around more I found an even easier way! And imagine that it is actually the intended method I had paid no attention to. Navigate to radioreference .com and then choose MOBILE at the top of the page. you will then see that navigating to the state/county/service of your choice is quite easy via the mobile adapted webpage. Once you get there and click on the feed you want to listen to, the Droid will show a 'viewer available' window and you can click on "view" or if needed 'download' to access a viewer. Hit view and available installed playback software is listed, including Xiia.

The navigation is easier and there is no need, or otion, to choose iTunes, just 'view'.
Xiia remains the only one I have found which displays the talk group tags.
