Would RR allow member using linux / DSD to decode ProVoice and then stream the audio to a RR feed?

Is anyone currently streaming a feed that is being decoded by linux / DSD?

I believe Albuquerque uses Provoice but not sure how the feed owner is decoding it. Not sure if has a real radio or decoding it on scanner.

Yes we do.

I approved a ProVoice feed the other day when the feed owner will be using DSD.

It's similar to listening to a digital system with a digital scanner.

We still do not allow the broadcasting of encrypted audio though.

That feed owner plans to use an inexpensive scanner with a discriminator tap.

thats awesome i need some info on how to get darkice to work cause i can not get my live stream from DSD to work. i need help on setting up the software

The use of DSD (an any potential liability for doing so) is the at the sole discretion of the provider. We are simply hosting a platform for streaming live audio.

not to sound like a dolt. But I thought you couldn't monitor provoice without an actual provoice radio. While I don't have any departments on provoice in my area, it's a good thing to know should it ever happen

Does it take either two computers or two soundcards to feed decoded traffic with DSD software??
Im using darkice and icecast for streaming. I am unsure if it is my setup or what but I can not feed the usable voice unless I feed it to another soundcard and set that one up for the device in Darkice. Is this a normal setup?
