With the warm weather that recently arrived, I've revived my summer shack.
Uniden 396XT with a Comet CH 75 antenna
Home Patrol with a Austin Spectra Antenna

Actually there was an ice cold Sam Adams just to the right of the laptop.

Try putting that Spectra on top of some metal IE: a baking / cookie sheet. You might see reception improve greatly..
Otherwise, very nice setup !!

I was using the antenna off to the left, sitting on the steel grill, moved it to the deck rail to be in the picture., worked much better there than sitting on the plastic imitation wood

Very nice. Looks very relaxing.

When the weather is nice it is relaxing, the last week or so though it's either been too hot or raining, nice to sit out there with a cup of coffee in the morning or a cold adult beverage in the afternoon.
