Last I knew they trained with and many of there employees were volunteers with South Adams County FD, wonder if they might be dispatched by ADCOM as well?

I wonder too about them. Do you know how many stations they have? My guess is they operate on the same frequency/system as the refinery/refineries like Lockheed Martin. They might not have dedicated personnel but rather a fire brigade that comes from their work stations when called. Could be under one of the old names - Total or something like that. I have never heard them dispatched on ADCOM so we might have to listen during an incident.

When you think about it, there is no need to dispatch them. The fire brigade there is comprised of people with other jobs at the refinery. They would be the ones who would discover the problem first hand and send someone to get the rig. They would also call for help from the outside departments. The refinery also has a stockpile of AFFF they regularly lend out to departments that have an immediate need.
In my previous life, I covered several fires and explosions at both refineries. At that time, they were owned by different companies, Conoco on the west side of Brighton Blvd and Asamera across the street. There were no two way radios in use by the company fire departments then. They were usually very slow to call for outside help but the large booms and big flames usually called attention to themselves bringing outlying departments in,

Craig,
Works for me and what you say does have Merritt
:) however I work at the Kodak plant in Windsor and until recently(2-3- years ago) they had there own fire brigade that did communicate with weld dispatch and such....

:eek:I would think fuel oil at a refinery is more critical than film but.....

Suncor Energy operates their own Fire Brigade based out of one fire station. They operate 3 structural engines, 2 squad/utility units, 1 or 2 command vehicles and several foam trailers. Based on the radios I've seen them use, that UHF frequency is probably accurate. They have very highly trained members who assist in instructing "Operation Front Range" to other fire departments. I've shot photos of the training twice now and it is quite impressive.

My friend thats a supervisor there replied

We have at least three pumpers, a rescue command vehicle, numerous trailers and foam equipment, a Hazmat Trailer and I think truck, and numerous "quick attack" set-ups on F-350 Chasis. I cannot answer the actual frequency question, cuz our radios are preprogrammed to several channel numbers.
I actually quit the Emergency Response Team about a year ago, after 18 years of being on it.
