Can i have all the detroit towers in one bank or do i have to have one freq per bank.

I don't think your going to be able to recieve any of the metro area mpscs sites but you might try programing the statewide events into your scanner and listen to a site in your area.

I've been monitoring Detroit and the local area mpscs sites are all being feed the same stuff on the events frequencys.

So far the Super Bowl seems to be fairly well organized, and people are behaving themselves, all things considered.

I thought it was a little humorous hearing them threaten to tow police cars that were parked where they shouldn't be. I wonder if any of them actually were towed? Apparently they have some areas around certain buildings where no one can leave a car unattended...and the police didn't think it applied to them. Then on the other hand, how do they respond to a call, if they can't leave their car? DOH!

Does anyone know the unit numbering sceme for DPD and MSP details downtown?

Funny thing: DPD wondering if they could talk to MSP on their radios when they are on state event talkgroups...

Pet peeve: DPD is pronouncing what I would consider "Lar-ned" as "Lar-nerd"

That's why I'm not normally trying to monitor Detroit. I did hear them tow one DFD car parked in a cab stand yesterday. Also DPD told to keep their hands out of their pockets. Heard the bit of towing DPD cars yesterday when no one could get out of the parking lot at 20 Atwater. G-EVENT 03 AND G-EVENT 04 are the most active. Maybe because I grew up in Detroit I always heard it " Lar-nerd", but then thats like "DEE troit", I'm an eastsider.

I am monitoring the special events, Metro Airport, USCG and Windsor.
to save bandwidth I'm not using stereo so the audio from the other radios are mixed.

Over here on the southwest part of Michigan, the news media is saying the storm in Eastern Michigan willl lighten up by early Sunday Morning and should be over by noon Sunday, if this is ture the Michigan Department of Transporation should have the all State Highways and Freeways cleared before game time.

They are pretty fast at plowing and salting!
