I am planning on taking a trip to south western IN in the next month. Are Knox, Gibson, Daviess or Vanderburgh counties using SAFE-T yet? I see some have TG's assigned, some do not. If they are, has anyone heard any TG's not on the DB?

As far as I know ONLY KNOX will be on.I am in Vand and Public Safety never will be as they are on EDACS.

I read somewhere that Gibson County was given radios for the SAFE-T system. I was wondering if anyone had their scanners on search mode down that way and had picked up any TG's from those counties?

According to the Gibson County page, they have been heard testing SAFE-T radios but talkgroups are unknown.

Knox county isn't using the system yet, but I think they are all setup to.

Knox will be transitioning, Posey, Spencer, and Warrick have them and use them for tac stuff and for interoperability. As for Vanderburgh They will remain for interoprability and those "special" tac moments for the near future. We have them out to PD, SO, FD, Coroner, Health Dept, Highway, PW, and EMS as well. EMA is the heaviest user in Vanderburgh.

It looks like Knox just started using SAFET for the volunteer fire fighters.
The police, EMS, and sheriff dept are still on their trunking system.

I heard Vincennes Fire on the SAFE-T system today, Tact CH 1. They were providing mutual aid for Lawrence county (IL)
