Talk group 1744

listening to talk group 1744 tonight and 1/2 the conversation is encrypted and the other is not encrypted... Do they realize that I can here it? just wondering if anyone else has this programed in I'm using a BC796D btw.

best to keep this stuff on the down low just keep to yourself and enjoy , its not your everyday traffic stuff thats going on on this talk group

In the interest of preserving good listening, you may want to consider re-phrasing your post to say how for a very short time you got caught up in listening to the frenetic pace of the garbled transmissions and it was almost as if you could imagine what they were saying during their heavily encrypted conversation.

What they're trying to say is it's best to keep things like this quiet lest somebody official read your post and inform the users of the talkgroup that they're being monitored.

Chances are the next time that tb is active, it will be 100% encrypted.

That being that it was never brought up after going on for so long should have kept you from mentioning it in a public place where apparently, all kinds of law enforcement people watch and monitor.

Any time you hear anything on talk groups or over the air where the T/G listed are encrypted take it as something you do not mention and something you enjoy and listen to in the privacy of your own home.

It really does not matter if anyone else was listening, enjoy it and keep quiet, talking about it on here has absoloutly no benefit to anyone. I think you and Steve Jones are the only people within earshot anyhow. What myself and others are trying to say is that it does more harm than good.

I don't live anywhere near there and the towers that are local to me weren't carrying that talkgroup.
