One of my radios is a Kenwood TK-280 (146-174) transceiver. It has a factory KRA-16M stubby antenna on it which for the most part does the job.

What I'd like to have as an option is a telescopic antenna for that band width that has an SMA female connection. Just something that I can keep in the glove box for the occasion I want to pull in a weak signal. I don't need it for transmitting. I've looked online and searched this forum and can't seem to find a telescopic SMA antenna for VHF. Anyone have any advice?

Since I originally posted I did come across this. Are these decent or should I be looking for something better?

Thanks chanerz, but that appears to use the SMA-M (male) connector, which maybe standard for scanners. My Kenwood TK-280 needs an antenna with a SMA-F connector. I suppose I could add an adapter if this is a really hot antenna.
