With the election of the New Mayor (i supported him) will Terre Haute scape EDACS and go to SAFT-T and play nice with everyone else...I guess the Police Chief has retirement again in his future...Hope they have a spot at Union for him :) Maybe Burke could use a night watch man??

Well if they want a good system they would, but they will probably have to replace a lot of radios. They could keep the present system for less needy departments like zoning, animal control and so forth and transfer the old gear if needed so they keep that investment rolling.

I can only hope so for your sake after living in TH for a while then moving up north I've learned to appreciate Safe-T, it really reaches out, it's much clearer along with no encryption. It's been a long time coming if the do, becuase I never could figure out why in the hell that the city and county were on two different systems, even though now the dispatchers can talk to each other becuase they are in the same room units in the field still can't talk to each other on the radio other than the "patch" which I don't think is of quality.
