I'm sure this has been asked numerous times, however I was unable to locate anything in threads for what I am looking for
Looking to find frequencies for DPS San Antonio. In the Trooper's vehicle the channel is specifically called "DPS SA". They both Tx and Rx on this freq from in the vehicles. Anyone know or have the freqs? I scan with an APX8000 w/ VHF/7/800.

Thank you, but I am looking to Scan their VHF frequencies as I am east of San Antonio where the AARRS System does not have coverage.

Going to see if those get me anything, thanks!
Currently in Austin and trying to see if I can find something for this area also. I know they use GATRRS up here but I have lots of time to kill.

Does DPS actually use AARRS? I listen to the system all day and hear nothing but I do hear traffic on their vhf frequencies.

I heard it far more on EDACS than AARRS. According to the calls platform, they haven’t been recorded using the SA Bexar talk group in two weeks. Tac since February, and CID was used a week ago.

You wouldn't believe the number of people that have told me they are going the the Alamo while they are in town visiting me...:cautious:
That’s wild, and even wilder that you have to be going to San Angelo to pass through San Angelo. Unless you are hauling for farms, working oil fields or Air Force, there is no way you just pass through.

LOL, that's like Hot Coffee, MS. Only folks that heard about the lil town and its history go there. Though your more likely to pass by/through It, MS than old HC. LOL!

The DPS talkgroups on the AARRS are used randomly. The DPS dispatch office in San Antonio refers to primary comms as the ones listed above: 155.445 base and 154.695 mobile. They have it programmed in the cars as the TX is 154.695 and the receive is 155.445. SAPD was confused when talking to the 39065 talk group on the AARRS system one day, as they were told that that channel was patched to the DPS primary comms. DPS replied they have the channel as "DPS Bexar Com." It is used more like an interop channel between San Antonio and DPS. It's very different from the old EDACS setup.

I haven't heard anything on VHF for DPS in the Travis County area. Post encryption their Talk Groups are still in the clear.

Going to see if those get me anything, thanks!
