Text Tags in App?

Hey all, quick question… is the Scanner Radio app, or any other app for that matter, capable of displaying alpha tags? I’ve tried to listen to some feeds that advertises alpha tags but nothing shows up when I open the feed through the Scanner Radio Pro app

I’m also thinking of adding tags to my feed, but don’t know if anyone will be able to see them.

Both Scanner Radio and Scanner Radio Pro are capable of text tags. I can't speak for any other apps. Text tags show up on the player screen, right below the listener count.

It's one thing to advertise as sending tags, but the software being used has to support that model scanner and it has to be configured properly.

Try my Evansville, IN feed it has text tags on it and they show in that APP

Alpha tags can definitely be seen in several apps that are currently on the market. I personally use 911 Dispatch:

Is this your feed? Took this screen shot while there was an active transmission coming through. Am I just doing something wrong in the app?

If you have Scanner Radio, in the app settings under player settings, do you have "Include Metadata" checked? Not sure if it is on by default or not.

Don’t see that option in the app settings.

You wouldn't think there would be that much difference between app versions.. You're using iPhone I assume? I'm on android and this is what I see when I go to settings.

I was wondering why his looked so "Basic" and limited. I was going to ask which version he had. Never considered he might be using Apple products. Of course the OLD Siren app from Uniden was more usable on I phone than Android back when it would actually work.

Yea strange. I am using Apple but pay for the “Pro” version of the app. I’m just going to try a different app I think.
