That is an interesting statement. I looked at the RR Db and I see that there are two Layton PD 2 TGs. TG 10560 shows Layton PD F2 and TG 10464 shows Layton PD 2. I have been locked on TG 10560 since about 8:30 am this morning and I have only heard one transmission which said, "Park the truck right there." This would seem to lend some credence to your observation.

I am going to move over to TG 10464 this afternoon to see if I get any results there.

I have them listed as Layton PD-3 and Public works. The police use that one at night for car to car and public works during the day. Winter time mainly snowplows.

So you are saying that TG 10560 should be labeled as "Layton PD 3 and Public Works" and that TG 10464 as "Layton PD 2"?

That would be consistent with what I have copied this afternoon already. Lima 15, a Layton PD officer asked for someone to look up a telephone number and a few minutes later asked for assistance on a traffic problem. He was using TG 10464 which I have been locked on since noon-ish.

When I lived in Layton a few years back at night the PD units would say switch to 3 and they would show up on 10560. Day time PW would be on it and when it snowed there was a lot of traffic. The same goes for TG 11264 in Syracuse, its public works durning the day and PD uses it at night for a second car to car channel. I haven listen to them much lately, so I don't think it has changed.

Then I would propose changing the Db to: TG 10560 - Layton PD 3 & PW.

That would eliminate any confusion when looking at the Db.

Public Works... Not Pd For This Talk Group Id Primary. Agreed The Police Do Use This Tg As A Rag Chew Channel And Snow Plow Work
