To listen to LTR in manual mode and not hear data chirps...

I am just wondering if it would be possible for a scanner manufacturer (like GRE or R/S) to make a scanner that could filter the data chirps out of LTR when listening to an LTR channel in manual mode. Maybe the scanner could filter the x-x-255 ID out or something?

That wouldn't be easily possible. The data bursts are so fast that by the time any such filter kicked in, it'd be too late.
