Toms River - Lakewood Pd, NJ

Anyone know why at 2:16 today Lakewood PD is dispatching Toms River Units on their 453.6000 frequency? 5/18/07

Im guessing cause today was the funeral of the Lakewood Police officer killed in a mva while on duty...

You would think it would be the other way around, TR dispatching for Lakewood. Lakewood is dispatching TR cars for calls in TR.

TR were just told to switch back to their own channel, and they were cancelling the patch, I guess they were testing a patch or TR was having trouble.

I would guess that Lakewood is a PSAP/911 call center. Its much easier to have a Lakewood dispatcher taking the calls and just sending Toms River officers over a call on their own (LPD) freq's then to switch over all calls to Toms River PSAP.
