I've been doing a search for towing frequencies(especially for Bud Fox's towing out of Glen Jean)and I've heard that most of the frequencies are in the 150. range. I haven't had too much luck in finding what I need through the database for Fox's or the other one or two I know are in the area. What would a good frequency that might be known to try if possible?

I'm going to guess unless you know something they probably don't have radio's. In Beckley with 4 company only 1 ever had it and it was shared with a security company. I know the security company hasn't used that for a few years.

I'm kind of suspect that although I've heard fayette county dispatchers say they contacted Bud Fox's and there was nothing in the FCC database,so ends the chase :)

most police dispatch centers has cell numbers to call out tow people.

Also they could be on a UHF FB6 repeater.

We contact our wreckers (Nicholas Co.) by means of phone but there are a few of those towing companies that have UHF radios in the trucks to talk to each other with. In Clay Co. we can use the phone or the radio since they monitor the radio all time anyhow.

When I drove wreckers we had UHF radios. Most of the licenses are shared business repeaters, so you'd have to know who owned the repeater.
