Castle Rock U/D: 49 y/o male pinned between an 8 ton pipe and the side of the hole, still being extricated but awake although hypotensive.

CASTLE ROCK - One man has been airlifted to an area hospital after getting pinned at a construction site Wednesday morning.

The man was working at the site of a future Lowe's Home Improvement Store located at the corner of Meadows Parkway and Highway 85 in Castle Rock when he was pinned in a trench by the pipe.

The construction crew was working on repositioning a sewer line at the site when the line moved too much, trapping the worker.

The crew worked together to move the pipe off of the worker who officials say sustained some injuries.

Castle Rock Fire and Rescue Departments responded to the scene and helped to get the man transported by Airlife to Swedish Medical Center. Details about the worker's identity and condition were not released.
