Next Sunday I am going on a trip to NC to pick up my g/f. I am just wondering what I should program in my PSR-500 as far as the Viper system goes (both sites and talkgroups that would go along with those sites). I will be coming down 85. Looking at the Mapquest directions I will either be going through or skimming by the following counties... Warren, Vance, Granville, Wake, Durham, Orange, Alamance, Guilford, Randolph, Davidson, Rowan, Cabarrus, and Stanly. She is in Albermarle (Stanly County) and its going to be a nice trip. Just want to have my scanner with me and have it programmed right (she likes it too so I should be able to listen to it on the way back too  ). As far as the local stuff that isn't on Viper I am just going to program in everything. I have no problem using the V-Scanners for this. Thanks in advance for everyone's help.

Stick, program in VIPER for the following counties: Wake, Granville, & Orange.

The following have their own 800 systems: Durham, Guildford (includes Burlington in Alamance Co.), Cabarrus, & Rowan.

Good luck on your trip!

Use the Pro-96 to be able to capture digital/VIPER, and use the 97 to sniff out VHF signals... That has always worked best for me when travelling long distance in NC.
