AURORA, Colo. -- A man was killed after his pickup truck collided with a tree Friday morning.
According to Aurora police, the man was driving southbound on Peoria Street around 6:30 a.m. when he ran a red light and the vehicle went into Del Mark Park, near 6th Avenue.
The 1998 Ford F-150 truck struck a large tree, killing 46-year-old Jose M. Lorenzana-Hernandez, police said.
He was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
There were no other vehicles involved.
