What is the difference from setting all the frequencies into conventional? Does trunking do it differently? Do you scan trunked frequencies while scanning conventional frequencies?
In trunking do you make groups or just make the trunked system. I tried to make a group but it wanted TGID.

I did read it. So it does do it differently than if it was programed in conventionally. Can you scan conventional and trunked at the same time and does it works correctly? should you scan trunked systems by them selves? When you make a trunked system you can't seem to make a group as it asks for TGID instead of frequencies. email ron222@embarqmail.com Thanks Ron

If the system is a trunked system, you must enter it as such. Trunked systems use talkgroups, that is why it asks for talkgroup ID's. You need to enter the frequencies first, and also the talkgroup ID's. However, if you use "ID Search", then you won't need to enter any talkgroup ID's.

Conventional frequencies and trunked systems must be placed in seperate systems, you can't put them together. However, you can assign them the same System Quick Key, and turn them both on and off together.
