I have a Uniden BCD125 AT scanner. Is there any way to program in the dispatch channel.I know I cannot hear the replies but that's OK.

No, it doesn't even have the 700/800 band, nor does it support p-25, or any trunking protocol. It's great for analog.

If you want to monitor a trunked system without spending a lot of money, get 2 RTL SDR dongles and DSD+ Fastlane; this will allow you to monitor a trunked system for dirt cheap.

About the only way you could do what you want with the BC125AT is if the trunked system has standard vhf or uhf frequencies (not P25) within range of the scanner. We used to do this here in the Phoenix area before the release of the Bearcat 235. You would have to scan only the known voice channels and omit the control channels. You wouldn't be able to monitor any talk groups and on a large system it would be hard to follow an incident as the radio traffic will move around and you will be hearing all channels on the system. So yes in a way it can be done, but with most trunked systems going digital, a more practical solution would be either using a SDR dongle or buying a trunk scanner that will fit the needs of the system you are wanting to monitor.

your answer is no for dispatch
freqs in the 140 band also digital and analog, since i looked up the little PE on your avatar.
put in all the freqs, and get ready to hit the scan button as we did before trunking scanners.
you should hear both sides of a conversation.
if you set up the input freqs you would only hear one side and they have to be close to you, even this can be handy.
when the digital guys transmit hit the scan.

i have edited this and will add after really, really looking at the database.
EMS and fire you could hear
but it seems all the police action is digital.
