Just a random update but lately, I've finally gotten around to just watching the data fly through the control channel for the High Heaven site on the McMinnville MPT1327 system. Quite interesting so far. I've managed to find a couple more voice/talk channels using the custom channel table with the 12.5Khz step and base frequency I found using the required formula. I am also building a large database of radio vs. unit IDs. For now, this is just straight line in audio to the computer from the scanner. I don't have a scanner supported by TrunkView and since the use of this system is really limited to only 3 or 4 agency's 24/7, its not a hassle for me to scan. So I don't think it would be necessary to go and purchase a scanner that is supported, but you never know..

And I just noticed that, at times, the "Net 1" talk group is almost completely unreadable on the HH site, seems like the audio on this side is way low because I can hear very faint voices but units down in the city seem to be hearing everything fine. It only happens when ID 1741 opens a channel.

Actually nevermind, it just happened again on the dispatch ID.

Do the Newberg medics pop up on McMinnville's system when they do a move-up or respond to a call there?

Yep, they will come up on county "FIRE" first and then if L1 (the McMinnville Fire shift supervisor) needs to talk to them or something they move over to trunked. - I'm sure they monitor both channels at once though.

Awhile ago there was a fire call in Newberg and they needed a McMinnville medic to move up to Newberg and I heard them, I believe it was Medic 11, on the 800 system.

They will go to Fire when moving to Dayton and when they go enroute from Newberg, but if they move to their station they use the trunked system.

McMinnville has some portables they use for move up to Newberg.

Since theres a small fire up in the west mountains... Fire 1 users are starting to notice the problem with one of the channels... dispatch is almost completely muted on 597.

And as of now they've all switched to county Fire.

So, 460.4500 is still a dirty channel, but they must be doing something to the tower because the flashing red beacon is off, or its just burned out. Although there is still the dim steady red light on the much shorter microwave tower...

The red tower beacon is back up brighter than ever. And 460.4500 seems to be bypassed somehow. That leaves only one voice channel, 453.3625, up and running.

They should just move fire over to the county for now. LE can keep the system to themselves.
