Maybe @Whistler_Support can answer that.

The RAS tick box where removed in the E software and Whistler said it was a mistake and the selection would be restored in a later firmware/software. Maybe its been restored now in the latest firmware that where released a couple of days ago?

Uniden tries to handle RAS automatically but I believe it's sometimes triggers falsely in systems that do not use RAS and makes the scanner receive DMR worse as forward error correction are then disabled and cannot correct bit errors.

I loaded the latest application and firmware and the setting is restored and found in both places. In the application click on the conventional TG setting in the SQ column and it is named "Skip DMR TGID" but a more suitable name would be "Skip CRC"

I still don't know if it's possible to skip CRC in trunked DMR systems. I think I have one trunked encrypted DMR system that use RAS for Avicii Arena that I will need to check with DSD+ to see if it's still use RAS and then check with my TRX-2 to see what it does with the system.

The missing Skip DMR TGID tick box during conventional DMR entry has been corrected in the recent release

@Whistler_Support I'm confused by the above thread, perhaps you can explain:
1. How do I enable RAS support in a TRX-1E model?
2. I assumed the 'Skip DMR TGID' function allowed me to hear all DMR TGIDs except the one that had been specifically programmed ie when Skip DMR TGID is enabled, it will pass all TGIDs on that conventional channel except the one you have selected/ie the squelch WON'T open for this specific TGID. Is that correct/incorrect?
3. On Conventional Import from text file or clipboard, how do I enable Skip DMR TGID? It doesn't seem to appear in any of the allowed form/columns?

TIA

You do not need to enable RAS support

Skip DMR TGID allows the radio to open squelch on a DMR system set up as a conventional object that may be hiding/altering the TGID information.

The Skip DMR TGID is added to the Squelch field, for example cc:2 sl:1 tg* S is Color Code 2, Time Slot 1, Talkgroup Any, Skip DMR TGID

Ok thanks, so will the TRX1e now support RAS (ie ignore it if present, like the TRX1): Yes or No?

Thanks, but how to do I enable Skip DMR TGID via the Import from a clipboard/text file? I can see how it's done manually via EZ-Scan, but having to do this manually on every frequency every time I run a different import will be a right pain.

You will need to add an S to the Squelch field just like I show in the example..

If your field already contains tg* you can use the Replace tool to change this to tg* S and select ALL locations so that all locations that had tg* will now have tg* S

I think the Whistler guy is stating that when you enter your DMR Color Code, slot and Talkgroup columns in your spreadsheet you simply use "tg* S" in the talkgroup column.

I had a new DMR conventional channel go live a couple of years ago that used RAS. I couldn't monitor it with my TRX-2. Whistler support then said I needed to tick that Ignore DMR TGID box and after that I could receive it just fine. It monitored and displayed all the correct TG's that Uniden scanners did. DSD+ didn't say anything special about it, only that it used RAS.

Using the latest EZ Scan 3.42, go to the Conventional tab then right click in the area for the conventional frequencies and choose export all objects to csv.

You will see columns AA is Talkgroup, AB is Color code, AC is Slot, AD is NXDN RAN, AE is TGSkip

Place a 1 in the TGSkip to enable Skip DMR TGID for that object.
