Ok, So if I am putting this in the wrong discussion thread, I'm sorry - someone could redirect me to the best place. New to RF. Been working on setting up my 396XT and am using FreeScan. Trying to set up just a site for NJ Task Force one that is separate from my NJSP. I have tried just the NJTF1 settings, but scanner will not recognize it as a site. Just tried adding the North Simulcast from my NJSP site, but now am picking up my NJSP channels on the NJTF1 site. Is there a way to make just a site for NJTF1?

You have two options:

1. Create a new system with the control channels for the site you want to monitor then create a single group for the task force channels and scan them only. If you activate search in this system you will hear all traffic on the site. Keep it in scan and you'll only hear the task force channels.

2. Create a new group within the state police system you already have and only scan that group, lock the rest out. Again if search is initiated you will hear all traffic on the site you are monitoring.

Hope that helps a little.

The NJ Task Force Talk Groups are part of the State Police System, you need to pick a site so you can monitor them. If that is all you want to listen to just put their TG's in for that system.
