I'll be going through Ohio on the turnpike from Toledo to Pennsylvania. I'm trying to conserve bank space, as my final destination is Williamsburg, VA. Would I be missing anything big by not programming in the Ottawa County EDACS? Is anything simulcasted to a conventional frequency or are the database freqs just for backup purposes?

Ohio Turnpike radio to Comm can be listened to on 155.790 (berea and turnpike main comm freq).

You can monitor the entire ohio turnpike from this freq.

Safe trip..........................

Well not the entire thing there is also 155.6850 which can be picked up better on the eastern half of the turnpike.

If you program 458.0875 it is the simulcast of the SH-DISP talkgroup from the Ottawa County EDACS system. That is the dispatch channel for all pd's in the county except Oak Harbor and Port Clinton.

I am sure depending where your at, 155.685 might work better.

from my location (area code 44431), i can hear from all gates and cars as well as dispatch
on 155.790, 155.685 is set 1 bank higher in case.
