Posting this local television story mainly just as general interest. The title is a bit misleading as I am pretty sure the migration of all county communications from their conventional analog VHF and UHF analog radios was completed by the late summer or early autumn of 2023. I had moved away just before then, but when I visited later that year everything was on the new system, part of the CNYICC.

I saw that on the news. I am assuming they are staying on the CNYICC, but with new radios for the remaining units, and fully transitioning. I was hoping their news report would give a few more details, but no dice. Until I get my antenna back up in the air, I have trouble hearing them anyway, East or West groups. My county is still analog but are expected to go digital in the next 18 months. No idea if they will be on the CNYICC or their own digital platform. Or fully encrypted for that matter (as is the rumor).
