Currently have your 15302 along with 15303 and 15304 active with what sound like Tactical training Comms. One of them was referred to TAC x (1,2, or 3). Black Bravo is a call sign in use. Also mentioned a gym, stairwell etc. Nothing mentioned to associate it with.

Heard new TG today.....two transmissions in the Shelby Co area. TG ID is 15136.
Xmissions not long enough to determine nature of this TG.

I have been hearing the same talkgroup. I've ID'd it to be Blount Co. SO from several different transmissions. I'm hearing 300 units talking which are BCSO unit numbers and based on the traffic on the transmissions.
Sounds like they are still testing it, as they are asking how it sounds and saying it works in places their UHF radios do not.

Hearing TG 10033, definitely a Blount County TG, but haven't identified user yet. Sounds like law enforcement just based on the conversation.

Also picked up TG 7525 today. Totally encrypted. Falls in line with Loudon County, but can't ID since it's encrypted.

I have identified a few talk groups in Blount County from the past week:

10002 Unknown Fire Department
10012 Alcoa Police Department
10019 Unknown Electric Company
10032 Maryville Police Department
10044 Blount County Sheriff

I haven't heard anything on 10033 but I am guessing it might be a Maryville PD TAC.

I added all of these to the wiki:

Tennessee Valley Regional Telecommunications System - The RadioReference Wiki

I heard some action on 10046 in Blount County both tonight and last night. I heard them identifying with unit numbers in the 800 range but I haven't figured out who this TG belongs to yet.

I've been monitoring him as the techs from chattanooga (hi guys!) do the proveout tests in the morning. All Blount county users will cut over sometime in early july. Encryption is available, but I can't determine if it is strapped to a channel or on a per channel basis.

If they are listening, it would be a crying shame to encrypt the main channel. Blount county has had encryption for years, and I feel they have been very responsible in limiting their use of it. I hope since dropping keys are a thing of the past they won't simply just leave it always on out of convienence.

Storms in East Tenn July 5

Well, during the storms that came blowing through East Tennessee Thursday, I heard McMinn County Fire Departments (especially Englewood) using the TG 6017. They were using it as a command channel for cleanup from the storms. I did hear several of the fire departments on their main dispatch channel tell their firefighters to "switch over to the 800 radios to McMinn Fire" then they were coming up on the 6017 TG. So that TG may be a McMinn Fire instead of EMA. I did ID that as EMA during the tornado outbreak earlier this year because EMA was using it primarily, but it could be a fire talkgroup. Will keep listening to it, although I really don't hear much on it unless something major happens.

Also picked up TGID 7508 today. Fully encrypted so no idea who it is, but it falls in line with Loudon County.

Also saw where Blount County is planning to switch to the TVRTS on July 16. I'll post a link in the community announcement board.

To Slatescan, you could be right about Lee Univ PD but it sounded like Cleveland PD unit numbers.

I briefly picked up transmissions on same TG yesterday and today, but not able to ID anything. No unit numbers were mentioned.

I have heard some encryption used on the BCSO TG but only one side was encrypted. Sounded like they were having general conversation, not using it to dispatch just yet, so I'm not sure if it was dispatch being encrypted. But with them switching over July 16, we should soon know.

Lake County TDOC Prison TRS has been switched over.

on 15092 heard "Lake County Control" so i have this confirmed as TNDOC-LAKE witch is the northwest complex and witch leads me to say that the old system is now p25 and part of the TVRTS statewide system
