anyone else snatch one of these Chinese made radio? They're pretty smart to do what they do. nothing good to say about their
labor issues.
So I got one anyway.
I found an undocumented feature that made me spring out of my well worn lazy boy!
SIDEBAND!
here is simple procedure.
make the left band your main band.
press menu button on front of rig.
using the left upper knob rotate to "CH SCR"
change it to ON
press menu button to save and get outta there.
remember you can only work on the left side.
I've been so busy since I found that doing other things so I haven't had time to experiment.

Reading the specs, it looks like it is AM receive for 10, 6 and VHF air. Is that what you found?

no, I was farting around trying to get something changed in the menu system
changed SCR to on backed out and there it was. I'm trying to reproduce it but
i'm a dumm ass for going to bed after that. wish I had played around more

I don't even see "SCR" in the menus listed in the manual.

I found it in another manual, but since I don't have the radio, I can't attempt to replicate what you did.
