Type of transmission

I pulled up a list of frequencies for my county. The tables have a columns marked "Type" and another one marked "Mode". I assume that "Mode" refers to the type of modulation, such as FM for Frequency Modulation, but I can find nothing on this website that discusses the column marked "Type". Can someone pls help?
