uasd trouble .i can not conect scanner to computor

i just bought a uniden bcd396t and i can not conect to computor .uasd keeps showing up and will not let me conect.i am new with scanners .but trying to learn.if you can help in any way it would be greatly apreciated.thanks .dwayne

Make sure you have you scanner and com port set up the same way, also if your using a USB SERIAL Adapter make sure you have installed the driver for the device, if you still have a problem download the Butel software and have that software find your settings for you. http://www.butel.nl/

You can also go into the settings menu on the actual 396 as well, PC control might be set to "off" preventing uasd from talking to it.
