UC trunking help

Hi guys,

I'm having trouble getting the UCSB trunked system to work

I'm using a Radioshack Pro 94 scanner

I entered all frequencies as listed, press scan, and never hear any voice.

The Wiki shows that your radio supports a Motorola Trunk :

If you programmed all the frequencies starting from channel 0 of a bank the Control Channel (CC) should be on channel 4. Can you manually tune to that channel and hear a strong continuous data signal?

SmartNet Trunks prefer Talkgroups, so program them in and turn everything on.

Otherwise, run in Open Mode.

Ah, thanks for your help guys it is working now. I did the manual program of the talk group 272 and am hearing chatter.

Although I think they changed the talk groups from what is on that radioreference page as I hear CSO's but not campus police and rescue, so I need to search within the trunking channels now! hah

Edit: I don't know if they want to update the main page but it looks like 176 is UCPD and 272 is CSO. (yay)
