Uniden 996 USB Cable

I have a BCD996T scanner and getting ready to purchase the new BCD996XT scanner. I already have a
USB programming cable for the old one. Does the BCD996XT use the same USB programming cable?

It should, mine works with my 396XT with no problem.

The USB-1 from Uniden will work with the 996XT with no problems. The only time you could have problems is when you upgrade your computer operating system like Windows and would need to upgrade the drivers for the USB-1 Uniden device.
