I have recently purchased the new Bearcat TrunkTracker IV (BCD996XT) scanner and I'm trying to load the different Trunking Systems of Southern California into the machine.
I have a question on the programming that I was hoping someone could help me with.
I have NO problem with the conventional VHF and UHF systems ...BUT
On the trunking systems there are "Number Tag" and "Start Up Key" 1-9 numbers
I'm wondering how I program the scanner so I can "turn the systems on and off."
Right now I'm going to the "System" and
Changing the "Quick Key" of all the "Sites" to the same number
ie. #8
Then when I press "8" it adds or removes the system from my listening list.
Some systems have many sites and hundreds of talk groups... which makes me to think that there has to be an easier way to get these systems on and off???
I am currently working on the "San Diego County RCS" system for the area around the East side of the Salton Sea. (Brawley, El Centro, Indio, East to AZ)
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks
