I have a Uniden BC120XLT for the last few years with occasional use. I turned it on today to find all progremmed channels were set at 000.0000 and they are all locked out. Pressing the lockout button does not unlock
Any ideas

Are you SURE that you are programming it correctly? It sounds like it lost its memory and just needs re-programmed.

If there are no frequencies programed on the radio, it will look like everything is locked out. Try to program 4-5 frequencies and try go set the radio to scan. You can also try to reset the radio. I have had one of those myselves, but I do not remember how you reset it.

Good luck.

I don't know this problem, but I would always try leaving the battery pack out for a few days. Then try a hard reset, I think it is Man+2+9 to clear stuff. If you still cannot get it working, send me a PM. I have a BC 120 that is missing the battery pack and cover I could sell cheap.

Try to reset it by doing this: Press, and hold MAN, the number 2, and numer 9 at the same time, and then turn ON your scanner. You will now reset your radio. Then, try to program it again.

I had the same thing happen once with my BC100XLT many years ago. If I remember I had to unlock all the channels before I could reprogram it. But SonicN's solution would be quicker if it works.
